Jo sees her painting as a marriage between art and science - striving for accuracy while portraying the ephemeral beauty and essence of the subject. During a trip to England in 1987, a short course in the art of botanical illustration and painting set the direction for the next 35 years. Now living and working in Christchurch, Jo has taken part in many joint and solo exhibitions, and has paintings in New Zealand and overseas collections.
